MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan Tech in Houghton and Finlandia University are all closed today due to inclement weather.
Roads around the Upper Peninsula are all reported to be snow-covered and slippery and visibility is being affected by high winds and blowing snow, making travel difficult in some areas.
State Police at Central Dispatch in Negaunee Township are encouraging motorists to stay off of the roads if they can as some highways are having travel lanes reduced due to drifting snow.
