St. Ignace, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Flint mas was arrested on Thanksgiving Day in St. Ignace on multiple drug charges.
37-year-old Sammy Laporta III was arrested after police say they purchased cocaine from him.
The Tri-County Drug Enforcement Taskforce, or Tri-Dent, alleges Laporta transported the cocaine from lower Michigan just prior to the purchase.
He has been charged with five felony counts, including Delivery of Cocaine and Possession of Marijuana.
Reports say two small children were with Laporta in his vehicle while he transported and delivered cocaine, and Child Protective Services was called in to assist with the investigation.
The case is under review by the Mackinac County prosecutor and additional arrests and charges are expected.
