    Gwinn man arrested on multiple chargesMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)Marquette City Police arrested a Gwinn man last night on a series of charges after a routine traffic stop.

    26-year-old Sean McNamara was driving south on US-41 near Van Epps Street just before 10 p.m. when a Marquette Police officer attempted to pull him over for a minor traffic violation.

    After pulling over and stopping, McNamara fled from his vehicle on foot. The officer chased after McNamara and apprehended him after deploying his Tazer. The Marquette Police K-9 unit was called in to search McNamara’s vehicle and a quantity of marijuana was discovered. A female passenger in the vehicle did not flee from the scene and was interviewed and released by police.

    McNamara was lodged in the Marquette County Jail on charges of 2nd offense of driving with a suspended license, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and resisting and obstructing a police officer.

    The case is currently under review by the Marquette County Prosecutors Office.
