MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette City Police report the arrest of a Marquette man on felonious assault charges following an incident this weekend at Marquette General Hospital.
48-year-old Robert Wallace was arrested after threatening a nurse at the MGH Emergency Room with a knife around 8:30 Saturday night.
Police say the nurse was speaking to Wallace when he brandished the knife. The nurse said she felt threatened and immediately left Wallace and called police. He was taken into custody without incident and lodged in the Marquette County Jail.
He faces up to four years in prison and/or a $2,000 fine if convicted on the felony charges.
