    Three-vehicle accident in Marquette TownshipMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)State police at the Negaunee Post responded to a three-vehicle accident yesterday afternoon in Marquette Township.

    The accident happened on US-41 near Northwoods Drive just after 4 p.m. when a 2012 Chevy Avalanche pickup truck, driven by 80-year-old Richard Sorensen of Little Lake failed to yield and pulled out onto US-41 from the Lowe’s Store.

    Troopers say Sorensen’s pickup was struck by a westbound 2003 Ford Windstar minivan driven by 17-year-old Kylee Bressette of Marquette.  Bressette’s minivan then bounced into the eastbound lane into the path of an eastbound Ford Ranger pickup driven by Timothy Frisk of Champion.

    Sorensen’s 76-year-old wife, Carol, Bressette and her 14-year-old passenger,  Hallie Juchemich were taken to Marquette General Hospital with what were defined by authorities as non life threatening injuries.

    Sorensen was ticketed for failure to yield.
