Escanaba, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The investigation is continuing into an incident that resulted in the lockdown and evacuation of the Delta County Courthouse on Friday.
According to the Delta County Prosecutor’s Office, authorities were notified of a social media post just before noon Friday that raised concerns for safety at the courthouse.
The building was secured and a person was taken into protective custody and turned over to mental health services later that afternoon.
No names have been released and the case continues to be evaluated for further appropriate action.
