State Police Investigate Dickinson County Traffic Crash

    Iron Mountain, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Police at the Iron Mountain Post are investigating a crash that injured one person on US-2 near M-95 and Pine Mountain Road in Breitung Township.

    Troopers say a 34-year-old Norway woman lost control of her vehicle on US-2 around 10 a.m. yesterday.

    Her vehicle left the roadway, slid through a grass embankment and struck a utility pole.

    The vehicle then re-entered US-2 and turned onto Pine Mountain Road where she hit a Dickinson County Road Commission vehicle and mobile caution light trailer.

    The vehicle then left the scene.

    The woman was located at River’s Bend Park and was hospitalized for injuries sustained in the crash.

    No other injuries were reported, and alcohol use is not suspected.

    The driver’s name is not being released at this time pending further investigation.
