Snyder Discusses Right-to-Work Legislation


    Governor Snyder on Michigan as a right-to-work stateMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)As Governor Snyder and legislative leaders discuss the possibility of right-to-work legislation, a new poll shows most voters support making Michigan a right-to-work state.

    The poll conducted by East-Lansing based Mitchell Research & Communication found that 51 percent of Michigan residents support a right-to-work law while 41 percent oppose the initiative.

    Pollster Steve Mitchell said his past surveys of the issue have indicated 53 percent to 55 percent of Michigan residents support right-to-work, but support has likely declined slightly with recent debate over the issue.

    The Foundation for Michigan Freedom commissioned the telephone survey of 632 registered voters. It was conducted Sunday through Monday.
