MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Troopers from the Negaunee State Police Post and Fire Investigators from the 8th District State Police Headquarters are working to determine the cause of an early morning fire in Marquette Township that claimed the life of one person.
The fire at a mobile home at 2262 Moran Street was called in at 5:12 this morning, and firefighters arriving on the scene found the structure fully engulfed in flames.
After the fire was put out, firefighters discovered a body inside the structure. The victim has not been identified and an autopsy is being conducted by the Marquette County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death.
