MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Wisconsin man is facing a prison term in Michigan on felony theft charges after admitting his involvement in a burglary spree though several counties in both states.
25-year-old Johnathon Plonty pleaded guilty in Dickinson County Circuit Court to two counts of larceny in a building and one count of larceny of a firearm. He will be sentenced February 5th.
Plonty allegedly broke into and stole from several different storage units in Iron Mountain, Kingsford and Quinnesec (KWIN-uh-sek) and the House of Yesteryear museum in Breitung Township.
He’s also facing charges in two Wisconsin counties for similar burglaries.
