Houghton, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A student was injured in a laboratory accident last night at Michigan Technological University.
The accident was reported around 8:00 p.m. at the Minerals and Materials Engineering building on the Houghton campus.
Reports say the student sustained minor hand injuries when chemicals he was working on in a glass beaker exploded.
The building was evacuated as a precaution and the student was treated on the scene.
