Marquette-Alger RESA Extending Computer-Based Learning Opportunities

Marquette, MIMarch 6, 2025The Marquette-Alger RESA is working to increase the knowledge of educators around Upper Michigan who use computers in learning.

Trae Forgette, Marquette-Alger RESA Technology Director and Director of REMC 21, spoke about the effort with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Forgette explained that the agency is helping get teachers to the annual Michigan Association for Computer Users in Learning, or MACUL, Conference March 19–21 at Huntington Place in Detroit.

He said MACUL is one of Michigan’s largest professional learning events for educators, offering hands-on workshops, exhibits and sessions focused on innovative teaching practices and technology.

Forgette talked about the involvement in the effort by Marquette-Alger RESA and how REMC supporting central U.P. educators in the upcoming MACUL conference.

He added that an upcoming event is the U.P. MACUL Conference that will be held in May that localizes much of what is discussed at the state gathering.
