MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – An exhibit featuring some of the greatest plays and players in U.P. sports history is being presented at the Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI.
Director Dan Truckey stopped by the SUNNY Studios to preview the opening of “U.P POWER High School Sports in Upper Michigan” a comprehensive gathering of sports stories, memorabilia, photos, videos and more chronicling decades of high school sports in the U.P.
Truckey talked about the process of gathering all of the materials and coordinating all of the stories, facts and figures to make the exhibit and what were some of his favorites.
The exhibit is officially launched tomorrow at the Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center on campus in the Cohodas Building and Truckey invited everyone to come and make a visit for a close up look at U.P. high school sports history.
