MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Western Upper Peninsula man accused of murdering his elderly wife will be back in court in December.
50-year-old Kenneth Peters of Bessemer waived his right to an arraignment in Gogebic County Circuit Court yesterday. His next appearance is an all-purpose hearing on December 4.
Peters is accused of killing his wife, 79-year-old Ethel Grzena-Peters. She went missing in early August and her body was found about ten days later.
Police arrested Kenneth Peters on August 22. He’s charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder and second-degree vulnerable adult abuse.
Peters is being held in the Gogebic County Jail without bond.
