Firefighter Static Display In Marquette Kicks Off Fire Prevention Week

    MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The 20th annual Fire Prevention Week will kick off with a static display of county fire trucks and a parade this Saturday in Marquette.

    Marquette City Firefighters Jeff Green and Ben Wilder stopped in today on The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike to talk about the static display and the plans for the rest of the week.

    The duo outlined activities planned for the static display, which begins Saturday at 11 a.m at Harlow Park , including a lot of fire trucks, refreshments and a bicycle giveaway for the kids.

    Firemen Green and Wilder also explained this year’s Fire Prevention week is  themed “Have 2 Ways Out,” and will run through October 13 featuring several activities within the community and local schools.
