“Revolutionary Brassiere” Premieres This Week At The VISTA Theater In Negaunee

    Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A play featuring a look into the 50+ year history of the Gossard Company factory in Ishpeming debuts this week at the VISTA Theater in Negaunee.

    Paul Olson and Andrew Tyler with the Peninsula Arts Appreciation Council joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to talk about “Revolutionary Brassiere”.

    Olson said the factory was the second largest employer in the West End of Marquette County and most of the workers were women.

    He said the the play explores the hardworking factory girls who kept Ishpeming going and what their stories were.

    Tyler explained that the show is a prime example of the direction of the PAAC and the Vista.

    The show runs Thursday, September 17th through Saturday, September 19th at 7:30 pm with a Saturday Matinee at 2:00 pm.

    Tickets are $10 Adults $6 Students, and any former employees of the factory will get free admission.
