MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – David Seaman, Executive Vice President of the Michigan Health & Hospital Association, called in to the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to discuss a controversial constitutional amendment being proposed in the state.

Seaman, who was speaking on behalf of Defend Michigan Democracy, a group opposed to the effort,  outlined the push to put on the November 6th statewide ballot a plan to institute minority rule in the Michigan Legislature.

Seaman says the change would let a handful of politicians create legislative gridlock by overruling the majority on tax issues.  If successful, Seaman says all special interests will have to do in the future is control the votes of just 13 state senators, ending majority-rule democracy as we know it in our Legislature.
