
Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette County sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident yesterday evening in Marquette Township.
Deputies say a 2002 Ford Focus, driven by a 17-year-old Champion girl went off of Forestville Road near Huron Woods Drive around 6:15 p.m.
The car struck two trees and came to rest on it’s aide.
The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle by first responders.
She and a 17-year-old female passenger were taken to UP Health System Marquette for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The driver was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions, and no names have been released.
