Marquette City Manager Discusses Upcoming City Commission Meeting And 4th Of July Fireworks

    MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette City Manager Bill Vajda joined The SUNNY Morning Show this morning for another edition of “Table Talk” outlining the key agenda items on this Monday’s regular meeting of the Marquette City Commission.

    The main discussion points on the agenda are action items pertaining to agreements for parking lot development on 3rd Street and a grant request from the Michigan Recreation and Parks Association.

    Also on the agenda for Monday’s meeting is a closed session focusing on settlement strategy concering the litigation with the City of Marquette and former City Manager Gerry Peterson.

    Vajda also took a moment to comment on the recent matter of the 4th of July fireworks and how the decision is made to either set them off or postpone.  He also discussed what role the City of Marquette has in the decision making process, if any.
