NMU Wildcat Wednesday: Wildcat Sports Staying Competitive As Seasons Continue

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio) – The Northern Michigan University Wildcat sports teams are moving along through their regular seasons with an eye on the playoffs.

NMU Director of Athletics, Forest Karr, joined the Sunny Morning Show today for Wildcat Wednesday and talked about the wide array of NMU sports on the docket.

Karr started off with the latest about the Hockey Wildcats and their capping off of the regular season this weekend with a home-and-home series with their cross-U.P. rival, the Michigan Tech Huskies.

The NMU and MTU men’s and women’s basketball teams are also meeting up this week, and several other Wildcat sports are cruising along.

Karr mentioned recent successes for the skiing, swimming and diving and track and field squads as well.

He also outlined some other special upcoming events, including an “ESPYs” style Wildcat Awards event that in the works, an some milestones for women’s sports at the university and more.
