Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A documentary film about the 1975 NCAA Div. II National Champion Northern Michigan University Wildcat Football team is premiering this Friday in Marquette.

“Put Your Hand On The Line”, featuring the story of the team that went from a winless season in 1974 to the National Champions in 1975, premieres Friday afternoon at 4:00 o’clock at the Forest Roberts Theatre on the NMU Campus.

Maggie Mahoney, organizer of NMU Football Alumni Events, joined the Sunny Morning Show today to preview the film and encourage all to come to the screening.

Mahoney said the film took over two years to produce, with over 25 hours of interviews and other footage all edited into an enjoyable film about the Wildcat team that made collegiate sports history over those two seasons.

She added that the NMU Alumni Foundation was instrumental in the production of the film and it’s a story that deserves to be told and should be seen by all.

Mahoney said the screening is free and open to the public, seating is on a first-come, first-served basis and anyone interested in seeing the film should get to the Forest Roberts Theatre early.
