NMU Wildcat Wednesday: New Residence Halls Up And Running At NMU

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio) – The new residence hall complex at Northern Michigan University known as The Woods is full of new students and is up and running for the school year.

Jeff Korpi, Director of Housing & Residence Life at NMU joined Walt Lindala for Wildcat Wednesday to talk about the new halls and other residence changes on the campus.

Korpi said 1200 students moved into the new complex last week as part of a total of 3000 student who currently live on campus.

He added that The Woods complex is the first new set of residence halls built on Northern’s campus in 50 years.

Korpi also talked about a series of changes to married housing facilities on campus and several other projects in the works.
