Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Northern Michigan University recently approved the first Native American Studies academic major in the state.
To kick off our new “Wildcat Wednesday” series, Director of the Center for Native American Studies at NMU, April Lindala, joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike to talk about the program.
Classes in the new four-year program will begin in fall of 2016.
Lindala explained the components of the major and how anyone interested in the degree can find out more.
