Marquette, MISeptember 3, 2020 – Marquette Police Chief Blake Rieboldt joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today to talk about staying safe while enjoying the upcoming Labor Day holiday weekend.

Rieboldt talked about how different this year has been in Marquette due to events and activities being canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.  He added, however, that people are still coming to the area on vacations and other visits, and it has been a very busy season so far.

Rieboldt said one of the best ways to be safe is to be courteous and aware of the various traffic and parking ordinances in Marquette and be understanding of those who may be visiting who aren’t as familiar with them or the city.

He also said that the basic common sense tips apply as every year to not drink and drive and to use alcohol responsibly to cut down on the risks of injury during holiday activities.
