Marquette, MI – (05/19/20) – 109th District State Representative Sara Cambensy joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today to talk about Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s executive order lifting some restrictions that will allow restaurants, bars and retail stores in the U.P. and 17 northern Lower Michigan counties, including the Traverse City area, to open at 12:01 a.m. Friday.

Cambensy said the lifting is a step in the right direction in getting the U.P. economy moving again, but she also encouraged people to be mindful of the guidelines for social distancing and sanitizing that are still in effect.  She added that she hopes the efforts of both public and private partners to prepare for reopening will help reassure community members that are still worried for their safety.
