Marquette, MI – (05/08/20) – State Senator Ed McBroom checked in with Mark & Walt in the Morning today to talk about a series of matters in Lansing.
The Dickinson County Republican shared his thoughts about the lawsuit that was launched this week by the Republican-controlled state legislature against Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer over her recent COVID-19 executive orders.
McBroom also gave his reactions to the latest executive order from Governor Whitmer extending the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” coronavirus response plan until May 28th.
He also said the Senate Oversight Committee, which he chairs, will be meeting next week and will be looking at several items, including the Governor’s executive order that nursing homes in Michigan must take in residents who are COVID-19 positive even if the virus has not been detected at the facility.
