SAIL The Disability Network Of The U.P. Offering Online Services Due To COVID-19

Marquette, MI – (05/04/20) – SAIL The Disability Network of the U.P. is adapting to the COVID-19 pandemic by using technology to delivers their programs and services.

Executive Director Sarah Peurakoski joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today to talk about how the agency is working with Bay Cliff Health Camp with certain components of their Bay Cliff Virtual Camp that is planned for this summer.

Peurakoski explained that they will be presenting virtual workshops for the camp that will focus on independent living skills for the campers who are in their teens.

She added that SAIL The Disability Network of the U.P. is also delivering their information and programs to multiple groups and individuals virtually due to the continuing pandemic.  Peurakoski said that their agency has been using online technology for some time, and they have been able to continue their mission even though the face-to-face, in person element is currently missing.
