Marquette, MI – (04/24/20) – Rachel Health, Blood Collection Coordinator with the U.P. Regional Blood Center in Marquette, joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today for an update on how blood donations are going as the coronavirus pandemic continues.

Heath said the numbers of people coming in have been steady and consistent, but there is still a need for blood.  She added that one of the significant changes that has been enacted at the center is that walk-ins are not allowed at this time.

She encouraged anyone wanting to give blood to call the center at (906) 449-1450 and set up an appointment.  Heath also said that blood drives are still continuing in locations around the U.P., and you find the full schedule at the U.P. Regional Blood Center’s Facebook page.
