Marquette, MI – (04/22/20) – Northern Michigan University President Fritz Erickson joined Mark & Walt in the Morning this week for Wildcat Wednesday to talk about the latest campus happenings.
Erickson talked about the continuing adaptations underway at the university due to COVID-19 as well as the impact the virus is having as the semester is drawing to a close.
He also talked about the financial effects an anticipated COVID-19 related drop in state revenue will have on NMU’s operating budgets in the coming fiscal year. He outlined some of the steps currently underway on campus to plan for possible multi-million dollar drops in funding.
Erickson also shared some of his thoughts about the passing of former Northern Michigan University First Lady June Jamrich, wife of NMU President John X. Jamrich, who served at the post from 1968 to 1983.
