Marquette, MI – (04/03/20) – Michigan Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist called in today to talk with Mark & Walt in the Morning about the state’s latest efforts in responding to the COVID-19 crisis.
Gilchrist talked about the Executive Order issued by Governor Gretchen Whitmer this week to close all K-12 school buildings for the rest of the school year and the shift to online and distance education for students.
He also talked about a new program to be announced that will provide financial assistance to cover the payrolls of small businesses in Michigan affected by COVID-19 related shutdowns.
