Marquette, MI – (02/28/20) – The Native American Student Association at Northern Michigan University is hosting a Moccasin Game and Dish Game event on campus and they’re inviting all in the community to come out.  Bazile Panek, President of NASA, joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today to share more information about what’s going on.

Panek says the event is happening on Friday, March 13th from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Whitman Hall Commons. He explained that the Moccasin Game and Dish Game are traditional games of chance played by the Anishinaabe people for thousands of years.

He said it’s a great opportunity to observe and learn about Native American history and culture and participate in games that bring communities together.
