UP Regional Blood Center Hosting Halloween Blood Drive

Marquette, MI – (10/29/19) – The UP Regional Blood Center in Marquette is currently experiencing a critical need for B-Pos, O-neg, B-neg, and A-neg blood types.

Blood Collection Coordinator Rachel Health joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today to talk about the need and a special Halloween Blood Drive. Heath said they are the primary supplier of blood to 13 UP hospitals and they have collection sites in Marquette, Hancock, Escanaba, Sault Ste. Marie and Iron Mountain.

She said they are holding a special Halloween Blood Drive at the Center at 427 West College Avenue this Thursday, October 31st from 8:00am to 7:00pm and all who can give blood are welcome.

The Marquette Center’s regular hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Fridays. Walk-ins are welcome.
