Marquette, MI – (mediaBrew Communications) – The Marquette City Commission has a regular meeting coming up this evening, and one of the key agenda items is the continuing discussion of an ordinance regulating recreational marijuana facilities and use in the city.
Marquette City Manager Mike Angeli joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today to talk about the discussion that is in the works for tonight.
Angeli explained that the issue of recreational use and sale of marijuana in the City of Marquette came up about a year ago, and discussions between the Commission and city staff have continued.
He said there was a recent work session focused on the issue that did not develop a consensus about how to regulate usage and sales, and tonight’s discussion is intended to spur the conversation forward on developing and ordinance for the city in a timely manner.
