Marquette, MI – (mediaBrew Communications) – The American Cancer Society’s local Community Development Manager, Amy Anderson, joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today to get the word out about two community cancer awareness events that are coming up.
Anderson said she is looking for participants in the “Real Yoopers Wear Pink” campiagn that raises funds for ACS and breast cancer awareness and research.
She explained that Yoopers who get involved will be able to help get the word out about breast cancer and have fun helping to raise dollars that are important in the fight against the disease.
Anderson shared some of the things you will have to do if you want to get involved, like wearing pink every day during the month of October, but said it’s really a fun way to help out an important cause.
She also talked about the “Paint the Town Pink” event that will be coming up on Saturday, October 12th featuring area restaurants and bars who will be featuring special pink-themed events, drinks and food specials to increase breast cancer awareness.
