Marquette, MI – (mediaBrew Communications) – The Annual “Run for Life” is coming to the Ellwood Mattson Lower Harbor Park next month.
This event features a 10K and 5K run, a walk and the Cody Revord memorial Kids Run. and is designed to promote organ donation.
The events will get underway at 9am on Saturday, September 21st.
Event organizer Amy Harju and Committee member Danielle Peterson joined the SUNNY Morning Show to promote the event and encourage listeners to take part in the event.
Harju, who is a recipient herself of an organ transplant, explained how to take part and register and celebrate life that is given when we donate organs.
Peterson explained her connection to the event as the aunt of Cody Revord, who was an organ donor when he passed away.
All proceeds raised at the event will go to help Michigan transplant patients and families with medical expenses.
