Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette City Police are looking for the public’s help in cracking down on graffiti in the city.
MPD Detective Sgt. Mike Archocosky joined the Sunny Morning Show today to talk about the effort and why they are asking for the help.
Archocosky said the Police Department became involved after hearing from city residents about an increase in graffiti on buildings, mailboxes and newspaper boxes around the area.
He added that the best way that residents can help out the police with their investigations into these cases is to contact them if they see any new graffiti or see anyone doing it.
Archocosky said he has added photos of some recent examples of graffiti from around Marquette on the MPD Facebook page, which can be seen HERE.
He also said that anyone who has anything to report can call the police directly at (906) 228-0400.
