Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Community Foundation of Marquette County is working with a series of partners to show the benefits of clean energy created through solar power and other renewable energy sources.
Gail Anthony, CEO of the Community Foundation, joined the Sunny Morning Show this week to discuss the Clean Energy Initiative and it’s goals.
Anthony said the effort has several community partners and was facilitated through grant funding from the Mott Foundation with the goal of improving the quality of life in the Marquette County community.
She said that through the effort, the Community Foundation of Marquette County will create and distribute energy information materials, develop at least three solar power demonstration sites that illustrate energy efficiency and renewable energy practices, and convene an energy awareness community event at the end of the project.
