Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Representative Sara Cambensy joined the Sunny Morning Show today to share a legislative update.
The Marquette Democrat said lawmakers are starting to get down to work in Lansing as Committee assignments have been made and legislative agendas are being set for the new year.
Cambensy said one of the biggest issues that is being looked at closely by both sides of the aisle in the House is auto insurance reform, referencing the newly-formed House Select Committee on Reducing Car Insurance Rates that will focus specifically on developing a plan to alleviate Michigan’s high auto insurance rates.
She also talked about some of the other key issues on the docket as well as what she feels is the current state of bipartisanship among lawmakers, especially among the U.P. delegation.
