Enjoy A Special Wine Tasting Event In Marquette To Benefit Literacy

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Marquette Regional History Center and Literacy Legacy Fund of Michigan are holding a wine tasting this Thursday November 8th, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Nancy Seminoff, Chair of LLF, and Adam Berger, Fundraising Manager with the Marquette Regional History Center, joined the Sunny Morning Show today to preview the evening.

Seminoff explained that the evening is a collaborative fundraiser to support literacy and local history.

Berger said local history authors including Tyler Tichelaar and Sonny Longtine will read excerpts from their books, and attendees can buy signed books and discuss local history and the art of writing.

He added that there will be Actor Jessica “Red” Bays will do a dramatic reading of a historical piece from the J. M. Longyear Library.
