Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Officials with UP Health System made a contribution of $30,000 to Peter White Public Library Development Fund last night in Marquette.
UP Health System representatives announced the donation and presented a check to the library at the regular meeting of the Marquette City Commission.
UP Health System Market President James Bogan said when the hospital found out that the library was struggling because of a series of budget setbacks, they decided that making a $30,000 donation was the right thing to do for the community.
Bogan was joined by UP Health System – Marquette CEO Ed Banos and board member Dr. Bill Short to make the presentation.
