MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Police at the Gladstone Post say a moose died yesterday after being struck by a semi truck in the central Upper Peninsula.
Reports say the crash happened around 11:15 Monday morning just north of Perkins.
Troopers believe the bull moose ran into the semi truck, then wandered off into the woods where it was later found dead by DNR officers.
The driver of the semi-truck, a 73-year-old Brampton man, was not injured.
