MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Students at the NorthStar Academy in Marquette were evacuated from the school this morning due to a bomb threat.
According to school officials, all the students were safely evacuated and were taken to the MarqTran Bus Station in Marquette Township. Students were bussed home and parents of the students also picked them up at the bus station.
Reports say the school was completely searched and no explosive materials were found on site.
In a related matter, the school’s homecoming parade will be held today as planned. All students are asked to assemble behind the NMU Superior Dome at 5:00 p.m. today.
