Police Need Public’s Help in Arson, Theft Case in Ishpeming Township

Arson and theft in Ishpeming Township

MARQUETTE, MI — (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Police at the Negaunee Post are looking for the public’s help as they investigate a case of arson and theft in Ishpeming Township.

According to police, a portable outhouse located near the boat launch area of the Clark Creek Public Access site on Red Road was destroyed by fire sometime between late Sunday, September 2nd and early Monday, September 3rd. UPPCO officials say a large informational sign was also stolen from the area as well.

Anyone with any information related to these incidents is asked to call Michigan State Police at Central Dispatch at 475-9922.

A $1000.00 reward has been set  up by the Dead River Campers Association for any information leading to an arrest in the case.
