MARQUETTE, MI — (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Board of Michigan Canvassers has finalized details on the six proposals that will be on Michigan’s fall ballot.
The four-member bipartisan board also agreed on what order the proposals will appear on the ballot. They will appear as follows:
Prop 1 is a referendum on the repeal of Public Act 4, the emergency manager law.
The remainder are proposed changes to the State Constitution.
Prop 2 guarantees the right to collective bargaining.
Prop 3 requires utilities to get 25 percent of their power from renewable sources by 2025.
Prop 4 gives the right of home health care workers to unionize.
Prop 5 prohibits the legislature from approving tax increases unless the proposals garner at least two-thirds support in the House and Senate.
And Prop 6 is a proposal to require a public vote before the state could take part in building any new international border crossing.
