MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Marquette County man was arraigned on several drug charges yesterday following his arrest on Friday for driving under the influence of drugs.
29-year-old Matthew Querfeld of Michigamme was arrested and a search of his vehicle found evidence of a meth lab as well as a small amount of suspected meth. The plates on the vehicle were also found to be stolen or forged.
Querfeld was arraigned on felony charges for maintaining a meth lab and possession of meth. He was also charged with having a forged license plate and a second offense of operating under the influence.
He is currently lodged in the Marquette County Jail on $47,500 bond and is awaiting a preliminary hearing on September 17 in 96th District Court.
