MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette Police are continuing their investigation into a stabbing that occurred late Friday in the City of Marquette.
Officers were called to the Long Shot Saloon at 149 West Baraga Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Friday, on a report of a large fight.
Officers found a 42-year-old man inside the bar with multiple stab wounds. The suspect, a 31-year-old Marquette man, had fled the scene but was tracked down shortly after and was arrested on Felonious Assault charges.
The suspect was lodged in the Marquette County Jail, while the victim was treated and released at Marquette General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
No names have been released as the investigation is continuing.
