MARQUETTE, MI -(Great Lakes Radio News) – The U.P. Regional Blood Center, a service of Marquette General Hospital, is currently in a critical need of O-negative, A-negative and A-positive types of blood throughout the Upper Peninsula.
The need is high in service areas in Marquette as well as Hancock, Iron Mountain and Sault Ste. Marie. If you haven’t donated in the last 8 weeks, you’re being asked to take the time to give the “gift of life.” All blood donated at the U.P. Regional Blood Center stays in the U.P.
You can donate in the Marquette area at the U.P. Regional Blood Center at 427 West College Avenue, adjacent to Marquette General Hospital. Call for an appointment at 225-4610. You can also donate around the U.P. at Blood Centers in Hancock, Iron Mountain and Sault Ste. Marie.
