Utility bills in Marquette will be about 3 weeks late

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Residents in the City of Marquette are being notified of a delay in the mailing out of their utility bills.

According to City Treasurer Diane Giddens, bills that were scheduled to be mailed on August 6th will be delayed as the City transitions to an entirely new billing system.

Following the transition, customers may notice a three week billing interval for a few months until the billings are back to the normal schedule.

Giddens says residents may, if they prefer, use their last utility bill to make an estimated payment or they may wait until they receive their bill. Any late fees will be waived by the City.
