MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Today is Primary Election Day and voters are deciding the fates of several candidates running for a wide variety of offices as well as various municipal and school millage requests.
Voters in today’s primary will narrow the field of candidates moving on to the general election in November in races for State Representative, U.S. Senator, County Boards and more.
Closely watched local races include Probate Judge in Marquette County and for the 109th District in the State House of Representatives.
Many key millage proposals for communities and school districts will also be decided by voters who head to the polls. All regular polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time.
