MDOT To Hold Public Meetings for Michigan Transportation Plan

MDOT will hold public meetings for Michigan transportation plan

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Michigan Department of Transportation is hosting a series of public meetings throughout Michigan in August to obtain feedback on the state long-range transportation plan.

The plan, also known as MI Transportation Plan: Moving Michigan Forward, is being revised through the year 2035. Each open house-style meeting will run from 5 to 7 p.m. with a formal presentation at 5:15 and 6:15 p.m., followed by a discussion period.

The public is invited to participate in meetings at the following U.P. locations: Monday, August 13th at the Joseph Heirman University Center at Bay de Noc Community College in Escanaba. Wednesday, August 15th at the Lakeshore Center-Community Room at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, and Thursday, August 16th at the Cisler Center at Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie.
